This feasibility for a mixed-use development in Gloucester comprises 75,000ft2 retail accommodation and 35 residential units situated on the edge of the city’s flood plain. Although positioned as a gateway development, the design still seeks harmony with its surroundings. This is achieved through the use of a multi-hued masonry cladding system, which deliberately echoes the colours of adjacent buildings. A heavily-planted roofscape helps reduce the environmental impact of the scheme, alongside an integrated natural lighting and ventilation strategy.
