Siemens ESB Energy Mobility Hub

K:Port Woolwich Opens

Our second K:Port mobility hub has now opened at Glass Yard in Woolwich. Delivered for Transport for London, in collaboration with ESB Energy and Siemens Mobility, it enables electric vehicles drivers to charge up in 20-30 minutes via eight rapid charging points equipped with easy contactless payment.

The hub incorporates a carbon-sequestering timber structure, on-site energy generation and battery storage to ensure energy resilience, and a soon-to-be-planted rain garden which provides sustainable urban drainage.

Situated next to the Woolwich Ferry terminal and Thames Path pedestrian and cycle route, the site offers multi-modal green transport options and we hope will act as a blueprint for more sustainable neighbourhood travel hubs.
